Parshah Vayechi – Genesis 47:28-50:26
Torah Reading for Week of December 12-18, 2010 – Tevet 5-11 5771
Yaakov desired to reveal the End of Days – yet it was withheld from him. (Rashi)
“Yaakov called for his sons and said: ‘Gather, and I will tell you what will occur in the End of Days. Gather yourselves and listen, O sons of Yaakov, and listen to Yisrael your father. (49:1-2)” The “End of Days,” commentators say, refers to the Messianic era. Rashi comments that Yaakov wished to reveal to his children when Mashiach would come, presumably to comfort them and their descendants during their exile – yet the Divine Presence deserted him. He realized Hashem did not want the End of Days to be known; Mashiach was destined to remain a matter of faith, and not a matter of dates and deadlines.

I just returned from a fantastic 10 day visit to Israel. As I arrived, a major fire erupted in Northern Israel. The word on the street was that the fires were started by those that work for the destruction of Israel. And only one day after all efforts to put an end to the fire, a major rain and wind storm occurred. G-d is sending us a message. Deal with our enemies without kid gloves and then G-d will help us.
On Sunday December 5, I met a group of 35 European Parliamentarians and activists in Ashkelon and on Tuesday December 7 at the Knesset. We share a common goal. And that goal is to expose and confront all Muslim Brotherhood groups. And the JDL will work with these Europeans to resist the Muslim Brotherhood. We will provide forums for them to speak in Canada and we will assist their programs in Europe.
The Austrian Opposition leader Heinz-Christian Strache, who has a viable chance of being elected the next Austrian chancellor, said that in order to understand the problems of the region one has to visit and see for themselves. He added that the Europeans were responsible to ensure that the Jewish people had a secure future after what was done to them in the Diaspora. I was proud to meet him.

Speech *Geert Wilders*, Tel Aviv, December 5, 2010
Let me start by saying that it is with great sadness that I share your grief over the deaths of more than 40 brave Israelis who lost their lives – many while trying to save others in the great fire near Haifa. My country, the Netherlands, is amongst other countries helping to put down this fire, which is threatening the lives and property of thousands of your compatriots. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who perished. My thoughts are with them. Israel is an immense source of inspiration for me. When I came to your country for the first time as a teenager, I lived here for a year.
I am not ashamed to stand with Israel, but proud. I am grateful to Israel. I will always defend Israel. Your country is the cradle of Western civilization. We call it the Judeo-Christian civilization with good reason.

Extreme rightist? Racist? Fascist? ‘I’m the exact opposite of all that,’ controversial Dutch lawmaker tells Yedioth Ahronoth before arriving in Holy Land to explain why Jordan is the real Palestinian state

THE HAGUE – Even a journalist from a friendly country like Israel cannot escape the evasive hands of Geert Wilders’ security guards.
The bodyguards of the controversial Dutch politician, the founder and leader of the anti-Islamic Party for Freedom, put me through a strict security check as I arrive to interview him. Once and again they confirm my identity, ensuring that I am not carrying any device which may turn into a weapon.
Wilders himself, on the other hand, appears detached from the security commotion surrounding him. He seems to have gotten used to it. That’s what happens when you’re one of the most threatened people in the world.
“To tell you the truth, I do fear for my life,” he admits. “I’m just a human being. The threats against me are not only in Holland, but outside the country as well. We are talking about very serious threats on the part of different terror groups, and when you are aware of the extent of the threats, it’s only human to think that something will indeed happen.
At the request of Gates of Vienna, I am reposting this video and transcript of Geert Wilders’ speech in Berlin.

“We will not accept Islamization.”
It has taken several days to put together a complete English-subtitled version of Geert Wilders’ speech in Berlin. Mr. Wilders departed from his prepared text in several places, so that the official English text could not be used for subtitling without alteration.
Thanks to the translating and subtitling efforts of the Counterjihad Collective and Vlad Tepes, we can now present the speech just as Mr. Wilders delivered it in Berlin on October 2nd.

May I ask you to be silent for ten seconds? Just be silent and listen. Ten seconds. And listen…

Comment: The great *Geert Wilders* speaks the TRUTH about Islam so to argue with “Mr. Right” is controversial.

Many people would probably dismiss Dutch politician Geert Wilders as a right-wing extremist for his anti-Islam manifesto, in which he says Muslims are retarded and vows to ban the Koran.
But his ‘Freedom Party’ has come from the fringe of politics to gain significant support in the Dutch Parliament, increasing its seats to 24, placing him in a position where he could now decide the future of Holland’s government.
Like Australia, the Netherlands has a hung parliament. At first the parties said they wouldn’t negotiate with Wilders, but after two months of failed talks, he may now have the deciding vote on who rules the country.
Video journalist Mark Davis tries to get inside the mind of this controversial politician as he works under 24 hour protection to spread his word in the Netherlands, and prepares to travel to the United States to pass on his anti-Islam message at the September 11th anniversary in New York.
