“The husband should treat the wife with kindness and love, even if she tends to be stupid and slow sometimes.”
The Husbands Rights, And A Few Lefts…
Also enclosed are the rights of the husband, which include the wife’s forbiddance to leave:
“‘his house without his permission,’ and that his wife must ‘fulfill his desires.'”
Corporal punishment, verbal admonition, and finances are also explicitly covered.
“A husband may scold her, ‘beat by hand or stick,’ withhold money from her or ‘pull (her) by the ears,’ but should ‘refrain from beating her excessively.'”

Local Torontonian Eric Brazau was perusing the book a month ago, and was reportedly “taken aback” by the amount of the book that emphasized the amount of abuse that was considered appropriate for a Muslim couple.
As Brazau was quoted:
“At first, I thought that it is incredible that this kind of thing can be found in Canada.
And then I thought, radical Islam is not coming to Canada, it is already here.”
